Broker Risk Management was founded by William L. Jansen, President, to fill the need for the small to mid-sized California residential real estate broker for legal transaction assistance, continuing education and consulting on broker risk management issues.

Bill Jansen is president of Broker Risk Management, a firm he founded in 2002 to provide risk management services to real estate brokers and agents throughout California.  Broker Risk Management provides its clients with:

1.      A legal hotline for detailed transaction and escrow advice. 

2.      California Bureau of Real Estate-approved continuing education courses (CalBRE Sponsor No. 4155).

3.      Timely practice tips on current risk management issues.

4.      Forms review and drafting.

 Previously, Mr. Jansen was actively involved for twenty-five years in the real estate brokerage business in San Francisco and the Bay Area.

A member of the California Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors for more than twenty-five years, chairing numerous committees and serving on CAR's Executive Committee on three occasions.

In 2006, elected by CAR to serve as a Director-for-Life.

In 2008, appointed Chairman of CAR's Legislative Committee.

In 2010, appointed by California Real Estate Commissioner Jeff Davi to serve on the Broker Supervision Task Force.
