Attached to this alert is DRE’s Form RE559, which is an advisory regarding advertising.

A specific focus by the DRE is online advertising to ensure that agents include their name, the name of their brokerage, and their agent license number.  The DRE is also focusing on reviewing fictitious names.  As a reminder, agents do not need DRE fictitious name approval if two or more agents in the same brokerage are using a team name which contains the surname (last name) one of the team members, and one of following words: “Team,” “Group,” or “Associates.”  However, if the agent or agents are using any other fictitious name a DBA license with that name approved by the DRE will be required.
